Featured: Christa + Luke

The Gatsby inspired wedding trend is among our favorites as of late. Christa and Luke merged a stunning color palette {read: pinks, bright raspberry, grey, silver & gold} with this old school influence to achieve a wedding day that completely blew us out of the water. The folks over at Style Me Pretty agreed... and we're excited to say that it was recently featured on their Little Black Book blog! You MUST check out this stunning feature.

We had the loveliest time working with Christa to design their custom wedding stationery. She loves paper goods just as much as we do... it was a match made in letterpress heaven! Of course we can't resist sharing a photo of their invitation suite {below} but also be sure to peruse the feature to see their fun day-of accessories!!

Real Weddings: Jordan & Geoff

Today as we continue to reflect on the things we're thankful for, our fabulous clients are definitely at the top of the list. Getting to know each couple and working together on such a special project makes us psyched to see their wedding photos. Jordan and Geoff are a prime example- thankfully, this sweet couple just relocated to Boston and we've had the joy of running into them!! We're excited that they, along with Emilie Photography were willing to share their elegant, coastal wedding with us...enjoy!!

from the bride: My most memorable moment was the first-look. Geoff came to my parent's oceanfront rental home and I remember seeing him face out to the ocean as I walked down. I was SO excited to see him! It was definitely the most intimate part of the day. I am glad we had those few minutes alone because the entire day was so busy!

from the bride: I LOVED our seating cards. My mom and I collected driftwood and made burlap boats out of it. On every boat was a flag with the person's name and table number. I loved these boats because it fit into our coastal theme but it had that DIY feel to it at the same time! To keep things unique and emphasize the coastal elegance, we had these gorgeous shell centerpieces instead of flowers!
from the bride: The wedding was the best day of my life! It was so fun to have everyone Geoff and I love in the same place. Our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were all held at the Wequassett. A beautiful porch wrapped around the ballroom, allowing our guests to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery if dancing did not appeal to them! I loved all of our vendors. They were so easy and fun to work with throughout our wedding season.

Real Weddings: Arianne + Spencer

In the rush of getting ready on the big day, many couples loose time to capture the fun that is had with their dearest friends: the bridal party. We're absolutely head over heels for Arianne & Spencer's wedding photos and today, for this reason, are so excited to share some awesome shots from their little pre-ceremony adventure. Seattle based Ryan Flynn Photography fabulously captured the funky Seattle vibe, as well as the personality of this gorgeous couple...

I'm kind of obsessed with these!!! You've got to see more from their big day {here}... HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Real Weddings: Kelly & Chris

Working with Kelly & Chris to create their adorable sheep inspired invitation suite was beyond fun... to say the least! As we learned about their vision and saw it being brought to life throughout our design process, we worked closely to create some fun day-of-accessories to tie the paper goods, favors & table settings together. The outcome was more incredible than we could have imagined, and Style Me Pretty California agreed!!

Allyson Magda Photography was there capturing the sentimental moments shared between Kelly & Chris, the breathtaking countryside in Carmel and {of course} all of the details!! Let's just say that this girl has got TALENT! We couldn't resist sharing some more photos from the gallery of their big day... enjoy!!

Congratulations to Kelly & Chris on your marriage & thanks so much for letting us share your beautiful, big day!!!

A Rustic Chic Indiana Wedding

Ever since the photos of Kristen and Nathaniel's home spun wedding crossed our path, we've been dying to share them with you! This adorable couple went above and beyond with sentimental details to fill their rustic Indiana barn with the story of their love. Ruth Elieen Photography was there to capture every minute and Kristien {the beaming bride} was so kind to share  with us her memories from the big day!

From Kristen's perspective: Best. Day. Of. My. Life. It was so much fun and fit our personalities and lifestyles perfectly. From the whole wedding party donning cowboy boots--to Dr. Seuss being read during the ceremony-- to covering my husband in cake (which I'm still proud of)--everything was perfect. We wanted to have a short, simple ceremony and then let the party begin...which is exactly what happened. The most memorable moment on the dance floor, though, had to be my father. Videos of him dancing are now floating throughout the internet!!

It's all about the details: Growing up, Nathaniel and I have always been involved in our family farms, so barns, cowboy boots, burlap, whiskey barrels, mason jars, and chicken and mashed potatoes were a must. I grew up in a log cabin, so I wanted this same feel for our reception. My mother and I spent over a year searching through books and online for rustic decor ideas. We loved including a table with vintage photos of our parents and grandparents as well. While many of the decorations were homemade, Etsy was also a great resource.

Advice from the bride: I highly recommend wearing cowboy boots with a wedding dress- they're much more comfortable than heels and make for some great pictures. Also, any brides who are looking for a photographer, check out Ruth Elieen Photography!  Getting pictures taken were one of the best parts of the day and Ruth was a blast to work with.

Real Weddings: Tijana & Tyler

If you're a regular visitor of Style Me Pretty, you might have caught a glimpse of this wedding that was featured last week. We've been giddy with the anticipation of sharing this beautiful day and the fun invitation suite we created to set the tone!! Tijana and Tyler wanted a vintage Parisian feel and drew inspiration from Coco Chanel. Their stationery conveyed such a fun elegance!

TTstationery1.jpg

The big day took place at the gorgeous US Grant Hotel- the architecture alone provided beautiful decor, but Tijana and Tyler also planned out loads of details to make sure nothing was forgotten. I have to apologize in advance- there were so many STUNNING pictures to choose from that I not only had a hard time deciding which to share, but this has resulted in a major vendor crush on Laura Ashbrook Photography!!! They captured this wedding so perfectly... I think you'll agree!

Ahhhhh! Are you just swooning?! I just love the flowers by Floral Palette as well! What an amazing day!!

A snowy Colorado wedding: Alison & David

Even in the midst of a scorching summer we mustn't forget those who are planning a winter wedding. This seemed like the perfect time to share Alison and David's stunning wedding that took place in Durango, Colorado. Their day was filled to the brim with fun, romance, sentimental details... and laced with rustic goodness. Josh Durias Photography {based in Washington state} did an incredible job at capturing the love these two share!!
Ali and David decided to make a Chuppa to symbolize God being over their union and the sides being open to represent community entering in both to their home and their lives as a married couple. What a beautiful symbol and the one they constructed was a perfect compliment to the rest of their decor!

A little Vineyard Vines touch

One of our favorite weddings of 2010 brought the opportunity for Paper Moss to work with a classic New England brand, Vineyard Vines. By now, you have got to know how much we thrive on customizing things. When the opportunity came about to customize ties for one of our grooms and his groomsmen, see the classic, preppy and sentimental spin it put on this idyllic wedding.

What a gorgeous group of people! To see more of Abby & Andrew's big day, check out our previous post.

Interested in having custom ties for your wedding? Don't hesitate to ask us how to make it happen!!! The possibilities are endless...

Head-to-Toe Happiness

Happy Wednesday, everyone! While cruising around blog world, we came across this precious west-coast couple on the Jagger Photography blog and fell in love with the light, sweet, relaxed but romantic tones. Jagger Photography did an incredible job capturing the big day {all you Seattle based brides, check them out!} and the pair packed their event full of intricate details that made it sparkle! What a gorgeous couple from head.....

.....to toe! :)

This color combo reminds us of a wedding we did in September. Remember?? Gotta love those icons!

Let's Take a Walk...

It's not very often that I post {Anna is the mastermind behind the blog} so it's an even rarer occasion that I post something extra personal. Maybe today I'm feeling more nostalgic than others, but I wanted to take a walk down memory lane for no reason other than the love of shoes & friends. That's me, in the picture, holding my wedding-day Manolo's freshly covered in permanent marker. She did what??? you ask? You heard right. As thrilled as I was to wear such classic, dreamy shoes, the true excitement was being surrounded by my best friends. It's no doubt I'll keep these shoes forever {and even get to wear them time to time} because they are so much more than a shoe. They encompass the love & support of my friends back on that summer day in June of 2007. Love you girls... ~E

Want the memory but are shoe-sign shy? Have them sign the shoebox instead!

The best of the best

The glorious Style Me Pretty sure outdid themselves in their first ever issue of Style Me Pretty Magazine. For a blog that features over 1,000 weddings each year, we were honored {jumping, shreaking and doing some aerobic style moves for good measure} to hear that 2 weddings of beloved Paper Moss clients made the cut for their Best of 2010 E-Glossy! If this little teaser doesn't pull you to look at the whole entire online mag, just know that you are completely totally missing out. But if you think you can live with yourself, we won't judge.

Mr. & Mrs. C {part 3}

If you haven't gotten your fill of Mr. and Mrs. C, today should be the icing on the cake. A while back we shared some of our favorite photos from this gorgeous August wedding, but nothing will do it justice... except maybe this video. Kudos {and beyond} to the lovey & talented Julie from Elysium Productions. You have no idea how obsessed we are with this! Just watch. You won't regret it.

Don't miss Mrs. C {from Life in the Superburbs} and her detailed "Wedding Recap"!

Meet Mr. & Mrs. C

Over the summer, we blogged about a fabulous wedding we went to in Watch Hill, RI. Since then, we've been waiting in anticipation for the day that we can share more about this chic affair at The Ocean House... and today is that! Ms. Abby Shaughnessy {of Life in the Superburbs} married the man of her dreams, Andrew Capalbo after meeting him 6 years prior at the very venue where they tied the knot. This couple is stunning - inside and out - and we were so happy to be a part of making their day as magnificent as it was!

To lure you over to the full feature on Style Me Pretty, we are only giving you a glance at some of the gorgeous stationery and other goodies that Paper Moss created to help "brand" the wedding.

The guests were invited with stationery letter pressed in the vibrant blue and yellow that was throughout the wedding. What a perfect way to set the scene for nuptials and an elegant party to follow, in a beach mansion.

Out of town guests each received a custom made welcome tote {with Abby & Andrew’s monogram} filled with lots of goodies, one of which was a beach pass for the weekend!

You MUST see the other pictures of this wedding! Seriously, we are requiring it. NOW! But after you're done, come back and tell us your thoughts.

These two love birds

Jen and Scott, who are off honeymooning as we type {as you read}, were married this past weekend at the Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI. This happens to be one of our favorite New England venues {have you SEEN IT?!} This sweet couple shared our passionate obsession with the Ocean House and were so determined to have their wedding there that they booked it while still under construction for it's renovation... they even had to wear hard hats at the site visit!

With such a gorgeous destination, Jen and Scott decided to make a weekend out of it. Take a peek at the agenda that was sent out with their invitations:

The hand-drawn icons were a hit! We heart these little icons and will certainly share more in the future. Going for a vintage and romantic feel, we thought that peach, ivory and grey was the perfect color scheme for a end of summer wedding. While the natural twine is a fun touch and adds texture, it also served its purpose and held all cards together, complete with a personalized tag.

Congratulations to the happy couple! We hope the wedding weekend extravaganza was magical!

A Vintage Collegiate Wedding

If there was a trophy to be given for the most unique wedding theme {while still keeping it classy}, Alison and Chris would surely be the proud owners. When they first described the vision for their Norman Rockwell inspired or "Vintage Collegiate" Wedding, we fell in love. The couple had the help of Ritzy Bee Events to design and coordinate this incredible affair that took place at the Dumbarton House in Georgetown, DC. They incorporated unique elements to reflect history, one of which was an actual vintage postcard from Washington, DC that was used for their RSVP cards, and then displayed at the reception along with a variety of other old trinkets. Alison and Chris chose to use vintage stamps with their invitation suite, each one carefully selected to fit the theme and reflect themselves... a Dolly Madison stamp relating to the Dumbarton House, a Maine stamp representing where the groom is from, an Indiana stamp for where the bride is from, in addition to a variety of other DC related ones.We absolutely LOVED their idea of making monogram buttons to attach to little bags of cookies as wedding favors... pretty much everything about this wedding was adorable. The attention to detail in every area made their day glitter. We hope to be able to share some other fun details at some point, but for now, enjoy these pics!
