Getting Vintage

We often meet with couples who want to have a unique & playful Save the Date. If you're not keen on going the card + envelope route, one of our all time favorite things is incorporating a vintage postcard, whether from the venue itself (if it's old enough) or from the city/ state that the wedding is taking place. Ali & Will's vintage Ocean House postcard Save the Date achieved the playful elegance they were aiming for! We popped these postcards in clear plastic mailer sleeves to protect against the weather and add a chic finish! What do you think?

Have a lovely weekend, friends!!

It's been awhile!!

Hey friends! It's been awhile but we hope that you had an incredible holiday season and rang in the new year in style! I'm still in the process of "goal setting" for 2015 and am looking forward to carving out some time in the evenings this week to reflect on what I'm hoping to achieve this year. My husband always says that goals should be specific, measurable, attainable and relevant so I'm trying to keep those principles in mind as I map things out... and make a plan of attack! Are you making resolutions this year? Which one are you most looking forward to achieving?

The perfect place card holder

Happy Monday! We almost have our ducks in a row for Christmas, but one of the last things to do is figuring out the table setting for Christmas dinner. This has always been one of my favorite parts of prepping for the holidays! Anticipating sharing a meal with family that is scattered all around the US is pretty stinkin' special and certainly calls for a thoughtful table scape. I'm currently loving these sweet place cards from Pottery Barn- wouldn't they be the cutest addition to a holiday table?

If you prefer going the hand made route, there are plenty of snow globe DIYs out there! Check out this one from The Sweetest Occasion and think about scaling it down to a mini version!!

Happy holiday planning!!

Playlist: Merry & Bright

It's the last official weekend before Christmas! How are you fairing?! We still have a million things to do and are determined not to spend the remainder of this festive season stressed out of our minds. Here's a little playlist that we put together to help things stay merry & bright in the midst of the madness. :) Just click the play button and get ready for some merriment!

Happy weekending, loves!

Classic With a Twist

When it comes to wedding palettes, you can't go wrong with keeping a neutral palette- it's timeless! Inspired by the warm tones of blush, white, taupe and gold, we put together this board to showcase one of our new designs from The Collection. Our "Classic with a Twist" suite can be customized with wording, fonts, ink & envelope liner colors and printing method. We love how elegant & versatile it is!!

Sweet & Saucy Cake toppers

For years now, I have had a little crush on Sweet & Saucy Supply. If you're a baker.... or a bride, you'll probably find something in their shop to fall in love with too! Aside from the numerous cute & character-filled cake stands, bowls & platters, they have a killer selection of cake toppers for weddings, birthdays and more! We're absolutely in love with some of these customizable options...

There are also serif & sans serif options if you want to include your initials! Thank you, Sweet & Saucy Supply for offering more pretty things for our wedding day desserts & beyond!!!

We're hooked

Happy Friday to you! Today we wanted to spotlight a little 2-color letterpress number that we designed for now newlyweds, Rachel & Colin. They wanted to set the tone for a laid back seaside wedding. We were charged to stay away from anchors, sail boats & ropes... while we love drawing inspiration from ALL of those, landing on their fish hook monogram was the perfect balance. We hope you enjoy!

Watercolor Galore!

As a graphic designer working with computers and screens day after day, the one thing that I miss is using my hands to get dirty and create something tangible. Luckily, my longings for that creative outlet have recently been fulfilled. As of late, we have had some fun working with our clients to incorporate hand painted watercolor art. We have painted watercolor wash backgrounds, icons reading from vegetables to flowers, patterns, and even holiday themes!

We are so excited to continue to work these hand painted pieces of love into future designs with future clients.

Take a peek!

Hey Monday!

Weekends during the holiday season are the best, don't you agree? Well, maybe second to the summer... playing in the sun sounds amazing any day! But what we love most is the chance to get caught up with friends, to get dressed in festive attire, be surrounded by sparkling lights... to be cozy at home. This past weekend was phenomenal, which always makes Mondays that much harder. Here's to jump starting the week and taking the bull by the horns...

Now let's carpe diem! Happy Monday, lovelies!

This calls for Bubbly

Happy Friday! I'm especially excited for this weekend, since my man and I are attending the first holiday party of the season tonight! But the fun doesn't stop there. We're also having a few of our close friends over on Saturday for some festivities & bubbly. Are you planning to drop by... or host any holiday soirees?! Consider adding this brilliant & beautiful drink to the menu. I love the idea to freeze the cranberry wands the night before, so they're ready to keep the glasses of sparkling wine cold while people sip & mingle!

The season of non-stop celebrations starts.... NOW!

Retro Geometric Wedding Inspiration

Happy Monday, friends! We hope that you had a great weekend and a FABULOUS Thanksgiving! Can you believe that we're fully into the holiday season?! Hopefully you were able to get some relaxation in too… it's a slippery slope into holiday madness from here on out.

Let's take a minute to diverge from thinking about the holidays. For those of you who are planning weddings in 2015, we hope that you have taken a look though our new Ready to Order line, The Collection. We put together an inspiration board based on one of our new designs- Retro Geometric invitation suite {shown here with our clover liner} to get the wheels & inspiration turning!

Happy Monday!

Anticipating Thanksgiving

One of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions is going around the table and stating what we're most thankful for. Admittedly it's a little cheesy and sort of cliché, but it is so easy to lose sight of giving thanks in the midst of football, food prep and catching up with friends & family. If you love this tradition too {or want to give it a try this year} we designed some festive watercolor printables that you can cut up and pass out to start getting people in the TRUE Thanksgiving spirit.

Printable is available in both eggplant {shown} and burnt orange! Enjoy AND happy planning!!

Pretty Paper: Hilary & Sean

We're convinced that stripes will never go out of style. We've loved them for years and we continue to get excited over every opportunity we get to incorporate this motif into custom stationery. While using playful fonts, Hilary & Sean's save the date maintained a clean, preppy look with a striped frame paired with the crest of the country club where the wedding would take place. My favorite part however, is that white foil stamped return address on the blue envelope!!

What do you think? Are you a fellow lover of stripes?!

Happy Friday!!

Autumn Essentials & Watercolor Updates

Mondays should be reserved for positive talk, good music, lots of coffee and ALL THINGS cute. Of all days in the week, this one can be pretty rough, right?! Well in honor of this dreary fall day in Boston, we wanted to share this suuuuper cute watercolor work of art by Jones Design Company. We have been working on some watercolor pieces in office lately {for holiday & wedding alike!} and this print has been helping us embrace the season AND this art medium.

Isn't it the cutest?! To download & print your own super copy to frame, visit their website {here}!!

Here's to hoping you have a lovely & productive Monday!
