Romantic fall wedding palette

We have been getting so many inquiries for next fall & winter lately! It's so fun to hear what couples are dreaming up for their big day. Being in the midst of some cold & crisp weather gets us so excited about the deep color palettes that people are working with. This monochromatic pairing of berry, eggplant & lilac is one of our favorites so far. We just keep picturing rich letterpress patterns and adding another pop of color with painted edges!!

We're kicking off the week with sharing a sweet recipe that we spotted over on the Made By Girl blog. Vintage + Natural Wedding Palette

Today we're excited to share a perfect for fall wedding color palette that we're absolutely in love with! You can never go wrong, pulling hues from nature and this round up was inspired by a grey blue sky, green grass and trees. Incorporating natural elements like foliage, wood & fibrous burlap ribbon can give an effortless but chic look. We've always been a fan of blue, but this shade of dusty blue is every bit calming and romantic!

Inspiration from Paris

Happy Monday! We can't pass up an opportunity to share with you an adorable Etsy shop that we just stumbled upon! If you're in the market for some cute wall art, you've got to check out The Digital Studio. I'm completely obsessed with the state prints and plan to snatch up one of Washington (my home state) and one of Minnesota (where Dan is from) to add a little touch of golden glamour to our walls. This print of a classic Hepburn quote is actually what led me to the shop though...

I've always had a love for Paris and on this particular Monday, I AM THERE!!! In the flesh... seeing the Eiffel Tower in person, bundled up and exploring the city with my love, all as a belated 1- year anniversary celebration. I'll be sure to soak up some Parisian inspiration to share with you guys when I return!!

Pretty Paper: Tiffany & Alan

We recently had a batch of our recent Save the Dates and invitation suites photographed by the lovely & talented Erin McGinn Photography! Words can't even describe how excited we are to share some of our recent work with you all and we're kicking it off today. You probably know how much we love mixing fonts so designing a text heavy, modern Save the Date was a blast to work on. Tiffany & Alan wanted to keep a neutral palette and we're just in love with the rich charcoal & natural paper combination!

We'll share their invitation suite soon too, but want to hold off until after their big day... which is this weekend! Congrats to Tiffany & Alan!!!

Pumpkins inspired by foil printing

We have had a blast using hot foil stamping on several projects this season, allowing us to add an extra pop of metallic to any stationery suite. It's that perfect pop of glam! Like we mentioned on Wednesday, we're completely in love with these shimmery colors... and so we wanted to do a festive DIY in the office to unleash some creativity. Paint brushes in hand, we mixed up some copper and gold paint and went to town on these little white pumpkins.

Truth be told, painting these little white pumpkins was harder than I thought! Yes, that's my inner-perfectionist speaking... but it was fun none the less. We just couldn't resist pulling together some letterpress suites and a copper plate (used for foil printing) that we had laying around the office.

We were SO excited to design & print an all gold foil suite for a September wedding, shown below. Unfortunately our humble little photos do not do justice for this glamorous suite but we'll be sure to share the professional photos when we get them back!

A sequin dipped wedding gown

We simply can't get enough of incorporating metallics into a wedding palette! What's more romantic than bronze, gold, silver or rose gold elements bouncing off of candle light?! We recently spotted these ethereal & oh-so elegant gowns from Truvelle and are absolutely obsessed with the shimmer factor of both of these styles. Talk about turning heads when you walk down the aisle!!! AND our excitement doesn't stop there... many of their designs have backs that are just as beautiful as the fronts! What do you think? Would you don a dress that has colored embellishments?

We have been working our butts off on holiday cards lately and in the process, we've stumbled across some killer new fonts. My particular favorite is the oh-so stylish Elsie, but it's hard not to be intrigued by South Rose that has characteristics of stained glass. :) Which is your favorite?

That question. I'm sure we've all been asked that a time or two (or nine)... and if not, it's just a matter of time before it happens. :) When the tables turn and it comes to doing the asking of that special question, we think that passing along a pretty card with a sweet handwritten note is a must. Happy Hour: Apple Cider Bourbon Punch

This weekend, one of my dearest friends from college is coming to visit with her husband! I'm absolutely over joyed and have been tapping in to my inner-hostess for weeks now, anticipating their visit. Truth be told, I'm not a huge cocktail drinker and would choose wine, bubbles or a beer most days. There is something fun & celebratory about mixing up a special bev and catching up with friends. This Apple Cider Bourbon PunchCOMPLETELY has my attention and I've been itching to try something with spicy fall flavors lately! This seems to be the perfect occasion, friends! Pretty Paper: Christa & Luke

We can't possibly think of a better way to spend a Wednesday, than to share some fun letterpress stationery. Christa and Luke's Gatsby inspired invitation suite goes down in the books as one of our all time faves. Not only are we in love with the art deco designs, but there are so many special details that make this suite even more stunning. With shimmery silver letterpress ink as a base, we accented the suite with blush paper backings & a blush RSVP envelope and added pops of color with raspberry painted edges & custom postage. One of my personal favorite elements however, is the killer envelope liner, merging the blush & raspberry with a vintage pattern to tie everything together!! Enjoy!

The Mrs. Box

On the chance that you haven't heard by now, we couldn't miss the opportunity to share the arrival of the hottest "must have" that just arrived on the wedding scene. The minds behind the beloved & inspiring blog, Grey Likes Weddings recently released The Mrs. Box. These vintage velvet covered ring boxes are surely the snazziest way to showcase your bling for wedding detail shots... or for those of you popping the question, we can't think of anything better to present the ring in!! They come in a variety of colors & the top can be foil stamped with an initial. Perhaps indicating the soon-to-be last name?!
