Cranking up some good music is a necessity in the Paper Moss office. To help the latter part of the week sail by, we've put together a list of some of our favorite no-so-sappy love songs. There is a time and a place for those sweet slow songs, but this is not it, friends! We hope you enjoy bobbing your head to the likes of Allen Stone, Lorde, Capitol Cities and more!!

Gearing up
How was your weekend?! It was the first one in awhile that I've been in town and it was so nice to have some time to catch up on life, friendships and sleep. All great things but man, Monday snuck up on me! It's going to be a great week though. Don't you think? We'll be working on some bright, beachy designs for a tropical destination wedding, putting finishing touches on a traditional suite for a wedding at the Fairmont Copley and also polishing up designs for a wedding at the Boston Public Library… to name a few of the fun things on our plate! Whatever you have going on, we hope you have a FABULOUS Monday!
This one's for you
There's just one week left until the highly anticipated holiday arrives. Yes, VALENTINES DAY! I know about 90% of you are cringing and the other 10% are rejoicing with butterflies in your stomach. This year I'm shockingly in the latter camp, solely due to being a newly wed. The previous decades of life were spent "surviving" the overly commercialized day. Regardless of where you're sitting, we want to encourage you to take this next week and show yourself some much needed love and TLC. Yep, fill yourself with positive thoughts {try to compliment yourself daily!}, soak in a foamy candlelit bath while sipping champagne and perhaps even treat yourself to something new & shiny {see #2}. Why go to all the fuss? Because you're worth it!!! Obviously. :)

Hexagon handles
There is something so refreshing about seeing a clever design like this golden hexagonal handle by Viktor & Rolf. The shape is just unique enough to enhance the simple silhouette of the soft leather bag without being overarching- don't you think? Weigh in: are you into the bag or… not so much?
Versatility at it's best
Finding the perfect bridesmaids dress to suit all of your besties' body shapes is quite the challenge… if not impossible. Thank heavens the trend of mixing & matching dresses is still prevalent but sometimes that takes more work than a bride to be has time for. I would have loved to do that for my own wedding, but with a 4.5 month turn around, we were pushing it from the start! Luckily the brilliant minds at BHLDN created the Annabelle dress, one gown with seven beautiful ways to wear it. Shown here in the Goddess style in soft plum:

Oh hey Lawrence!
Over the weekend we had a chance to catch up on some long overdue window shopping. There's something so relaxing about sipping on a latte and perusing shops, don't you agree? Checking in on Coach's latest was definitely a highlight- and though it's nothing new to their collection, the {currently on SALE} Lawrence heel caught our eyes. These sleek little kitten heels are just the right height AND that gold buckle-like embellishment dresses up the pointy toe. Our favorite little detail however is the gold sole peeking through the bridge of the heel! It's all in the details!! :)

Getting back to work
Feeling a little mundane at work lately? Well perhaps spicing up your work space can help take the edge off. Anything from bringing in some framed inspirational quotes & fresh flowers to picking out some cute little details from designers like Kate Spade and Jonathan Adler… the options are endless! Scouring Pinterest for inspiration has brought up some pretty fabulous ideas. Here's what we're dreaming of adding to our workspace… care to join us in adding some flare?!
Blackberry on Rye
We made it through the week, friends! I don't know about you, but it's been quite a crazy one on my end. This weekend, my love and I are jetting off to Portland for a friends wedding and some quality time with family. The weekend is near and in celebration of a few days off, I'll leave you with a delicious new cocktail recipe that you must give a try!
Rye whiskey, red wine, lemon, bitters, simple syrup and blackberries… is your mouth watering yet?!

Three L's we're in love with
Leopard, leather and Louis, of course! There is something so sleek & sophisticated about this look- we just can't get enough! Those of you in warmer winter climates can probably pull this off now, but those of us who call New England home will have to file it away for the future!!
And as a side note, that super cute leather jacket is on sale right now!
A green garden wedding
We're just wrapping up designs for a beautiful grass green letterpress, garden inspired invitation suite. Going through the design process with these sweet clients has been more than fun and getting the play by play as wedding weekend events develop, has helped us ensure that the paper goods accurately set the scene. Our heads are swirling with lush florals, lots of natural textures and dreams of a Sunday brunch in the bride's parents garden… so we couldn't resist putting together some inspiration!
We'll be sure to share photos of the pretty stationery when it come back from print!
A better foundation
Strutting around in some brand new heels can be pretty fun, right ladies? That is, until the day is over and the newness is replaced with swollen, aching feet. Today's shoesday pick doesn't promise to skip over the "break in" phase, but they do promise soft leather, arch support and a stable chunky heel to help you put your best foot forward. I don't know about you, but we're loving this long lost style and all signs are pointing to a perfectly comfortable shoe!

Monday's motivation
Kicking off the week often requires a HUGE cup of coffee, a fashionable outfit {tapping into the "dressed well, test well" mantra from college} and some brilliant words of inspiration. Yes, this is our recipe for OWNING the week. ;)
Not only are we oohing and awing over the playfully elegant hand lettering by The Kindred Shop but their confetti covered back drop is bringing back memories from the super fun Rev.el.ry studio space launch party we attended on Friday night. We loved seeing & celebrating the gorgeous venue that our dear friends Petal Floral, Hello Love Photography & Emily Starr now call home! Their confetti was provided by The Confetti Bar which you MUST check out if you haven't perused their site yet. I couldn't be more obsessed with their custom confetti!

3 vegan bags you must have
There is nothing quite like finding a fashionable piece that is budget friendly, animal friendly AND won't get damaged by some rain drops. I spotted these bags the other day and absolutely love each and every one of them!! The only tough part about faux-leather is that it doesn't have the same lifespan as the real thing. Is that something you're willing to deal with when it comes to sporting a trendy bag?? Let us know what you think!
That little piece of lace
When it comes to shopping for wedding day accessories, one thing that I spent a long time searching for was the perfect garter. Even though my man was adamant about not doing the traditional toss, I still wanted something pretty, sexy & sentimental for the big day. If you're a bride to be or even a former bride, please share where you found your little bit of lace!!
We're total suckers for detail shots and think there is nothing sweeter than a shot of some of the personal things that aren't shown in the rest of those wedding photos. Capturing a scent is key… whatever perfume you wear will always bring back the memories of such a special day!

One pair you can't do without
As a lady, one thing on the top of our fashion "necessities" list is a good pair of nude heels. Make them sassy or conservative- whatever suits your style, but nude is one neutral that you just can't go without!! This pair of Louboutin's are perfectly feminine with those pretty bows atop the heels… they've got us dreaming of waltzing around the city in those red soles!

Winter warmers
For some reason I've been borderline addicted to drinking hot chocolate this winter- significantly more so than past years. As I'm spending this holiday for some much needed fresh air & relaxation on the slopes with my man, we'll surely be indulging in a cocoa break. I take great pride in having been the one to introduce my him to the fantastic cocoa + peppermint schnapps pairing but I don't want to stop there with the chocolatey concoctions! There are so many fun ways to liven up this traditional cold weather beverage {think lavendar & honey, Frangelico & cinnamon… salted caramel!!!} and we have plenty of time to explore this season!!

Oooo, playlist three, how you make me happy. It reminds me of last summer, driving down the highway in June with my roommates, blaring Anna Sun out the windows. Actually, almost all of this playlist reminds me of summer. Summer memories and music will have to suffice for now!
